Buds & Blooms is here to support you in your breastfeeding journey with this handmade hot and cold compress specially designed to promote milk flow and prevent clogged ducts.

OUTER COVER: The outer layer is made from soft cotton with a donut-shaped design that considers the sensitive nipple area.

INNER RING: The inside is filled with food-grade flaxseeds that help to maintain the temperature for a longer period of time and can be reheated and reused more times vs. other grains or seeds.

How to use:

Do not use if you are allergic to flaxseeds. If any signs of allergy or rash occur, discontinue use immediately.

Prevent milk clogs and mastitis by alternating hot before nursing and cold after nursing.

Before nursing:

Microwave 1-2 minutes on medium or low heat
Touch the donut with fingers to make sure it is not too hot
Apply donut on breast 10-15 minutes before nursing

After nursing:

Put in freezer for at least 1 hour
Apply donut on breast after feeding for 15-20 minutes to reduce swelling & soreness

The donut can also be used on the navel to relieve stomach cramps due to indigestion or monthly period. Place the donut on your legs to help relax leg cramps.

For mastitis, spray a small amount of water or peppermint oil on the outer cover of the donut before heating in the microwave. This will create moisture & steam that can help relieve mastitis. If symptoms occur consult a lactation consultant.

Mommy Tip:

Use together with the Buds & Blooms Breastfeeding & Pump Lubrication Oil before pumping to speed up flow of milk and help reduce pumping time.
